My literary activity on the world-wide-web is a personal and quite industrious enterprize. When I can find the time I am engaged in creating across this global internet a tapestry of poetry and prose....

| Reading and writing in the social sciences and humanities(the sub-list in these two general categories would be too long to post here; for example: philosophy and religion, history and psychology, sociology and media studies, etc.) Other specific interests and activities include: walking, sleeping, eating and drinking, breathing properly, my family, my health, my wife’s garden and even some of my domestic chores. Beautiful things: buildings and people, nature and objets d’art; ideas and some items in and of the print and electronic media. |

31. Apocalypse Now
32. Birdman of Alcatraz
33. Terminator
34. The Passion of Christ
35. Films About: The 18th Century
-The Devil's Disciple, etc.
36. From Here to Eternity
37. Gunfight At the OK Corral
38. Lolita

That's all folks! |

| In the three year period June 2002 to May 2005, I compiled periodically a list of my favorite music and bands. It was an attempt to define, to give expression to, to list what has become for me a vast sea of pleasureable sounds produced in a number of genres of music. My first memories of listening to music were in about 1948, although I was exposed to music right from the word go in 1944 by two parents who played the piano. I would post the list here, but it is too long. It is a short list of two dozen bands and over 60 years of musical experience, musical pieces I have enjoyed from a longer list of music that gave me pleasure, but it is, as I say, obviously too long to include here. |

| Perhaps how much one reads is as important as what one reads, although one would not want to press this point too far. Given the fact that we all have different tastes, perhaps the essential question or comment under "favorite books" is not “what one has read” but “how much” and “when.” I offer this as a tangential remark for this part of the site. It is impossible for me to make an accurate record or even a reasonable guesstimation of what might be called my favorite books since, say 1958, some 50 years, from puberty to the early years of late adulthood that is from the age of 13 to 63. |

| By the time my first memories were taking form in this earthly life, in 1947 and 1948, radio was in the first years of its second quarter century and TV was just starting out on its journey for the masses after twenty years of technological development.
My parents were in their teens and twenties when they listened to their first radio programs in the 1920s; my grandfather was in his fifties back in that roaring decade of the 1920s. These two mediums brought an immense quantity of historical impressions into my life and the lives of millions in the fifty-seven years that constitute my present memory-bank: 1948-2008. I have had a TV for 38 of those 50 years and enjoyed 100s of programs. |

| Many from the history of the western intellectual tradition: its religion and philosophy, its social sciences and humanities. I may be more specific at a later date. |

|
| Here is one quote among dozens I might add. Perhaps at a later date I might select a half a dozen to add here.

With fire We test the gold and with gold We test Our servants.-Baha'u'llah |
